CNN~Rapper LL Cool J appears to be upset with Sarah Palin and Fox News for using footage of a 2008 interview in its promotion for the former Alaska governor’s upcoming television special.

“Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palins Show. WOW,” the musician Tweeted on Tuesday night.

A promotion for the show – called “Real American Stories: Hosted by Sarah Palin” – features an announcer saying, “They’re famous faces. Now hear the real story behind their incredible lives.” In addition to LL Cool J, country music star Toby Keith and former General Electric CEO Jack Welch are pictured.

LL Cool J wasn’t the only one surprised to see that he was part of Sarah Palin’s upcoming Fox News program, “Real American Stories.”

Toby Keith also unknowing participant in Palin's show.

“I had no idea Toby’s interview was going to air on Sarah Palin’s special. I still have not heard from Fox.”

Steve Schmidt: Palin Debate Was Nearly ‘Debacle,’ Kept Calling Rival ‘O’Biden’

Sarah Palin and Steve Schmidt

HP/ Rachel Weiner ~~On CBS’s “60 Minutes” Thursday night, Republican strategist Steve Schmidt revealed some of the behind-the-scenes wrangling that went into Sarah Palin’s debate against then-Sen. Joe Biden. Schmidt says that a campaign staffer prepping Palin made a desperate call to the chief McCain campaign strategist.

Palin had a reflexive tendency to refer to Biden as “O’Biden,” Schmidt revealed. He says other people on the campaign staff came up with a solution. “It was multiple people — and I wasn’t one of them– who all said at the same time, ‘Just say, ‘Can I call you Joe?” which she did.”

In fact, Palin did accidentally call the senator “O’Biden” once during the debate.

Sarah Palin’s “Going Rogue” Goes Rogue: Jimmy Fallon’s “Late Night” Sketch (VIDEO)

In Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night sketch, Sarah Palin’s “Going Rogue” has gone rogue. It picked up a gun, snuck off the set of “Late Night,” evaded FBI capture, shot Rachel Maddow and went to meet up with its lover. Using every fugitive-on-the-run cliche to give the book a life of its own.

‘Going Rogue’ review: Sarah Palin is “complainer in chief”

posted by GeoT

“…Rather than come back swinging, she comes back whining.”

BY Sherryl Connelly
The “You betcha” lady is no more.

In her $1.25 million memoir “Going Rogue” (Harper, $28.99), Sarah Palin introduces a new voice, and it’s that of a chronic complainer. So much so you want to shout at the pages, “Man up, woman!”

The news from the book has already spilled, and it is essentially this: John McCain’s senior aides were mean to her. Katie Couric was mean to her. Her critics, who are by definition supposed to be mean, were mean to her.

But rather than come back swinging, she comes back whining.

They done her wrong, she tells us over and over again.

According to Palin, she did not make one mistake during the campaign. Her problems arose, she claims, because McCain “headquarters” held her in check. They constantly underestimated her. Or undermined her. Actually both.

In one hilarious anecdote, in which it’s apparent she doesn’t understand what she’s broadcasting, Palin relates how a senior aide ordered her to knock off the Atkins bars while she was preparing for the debate.

He lectures her that beyond protein, carbohydrates are necessary for cognitive connection. Obviously headquarters was so distraught at how badly the prep was going that they were looking for something, anything, to make her brain work.

The first half of the book is filled with the familiar anecdotes of the feisty girl from Alaska who did it her way. Unfortunately for Palin, the national media beat her to her own life story long ago, so this material is tediously familiar.

It only steps up when McCain makes that fateful call to her at the Alaska State Fair asking if she would be interested in being vice president.
