Far-Right Site Gains Influence In Obama Era

posted by betham37

This is a very enlightening article. It seems that World Net Daily is the culprit that has really been filling all these fringe people with the garbage that they spew every day.

I do not ever remember the far left fringe groups when Bush was the President. Maybe I was just blind and was “fired up” against Bush too. But folks I think that everyone realized that Bush had lied to us. I don’t believe that Obama has lied to us. He has a rough road ahead because not only are the progressives against him right now, but so are the Republicans. Maybe not all Republicans, but I would say the majority, and the libertarians. All I can hope is that Obama and all of us can weather this storm of “anti-Obama.

The Real Reason for Obama’s Speech to Public School Students

posted by betham37

This is absolutely great.  It shows what the fringe  is thinking.  And of course it’s a slow news day so Salon thought it would be fun to read their “off the wall” statements.

I can’t imagine what these people like to concoct, but if you then go to the blog that’s in this article you will have to laugh, it is so pathetic.

Folks these are the people that are on the fringe.

Appeals Court Says Ex-Detainee Can Sue Ashcroft, Rejects Legal Immunity Claims

It just keeps coming and coming and somehow Bush and Cheney avoid it all.  Ashcroft and Yoo have their necks on the block.

This was a 3 judge panel that issued their finding that Abdullah al-Kidd can sue Ashcroft.  And these judges were appointed by the Bush Administration.

I am a strong proponent of keeping us safe from terrorism, but this is beyond the pale what the Bush Administration did.  And worse, these people will end up hating us and then what.  Of course al-Kidd is an American but I’m sure he’s very bitter.  I hope he wins his case and Ashcroft will have to pay him big bucks.  They really need to learn that they just can’t arbitrarily seize someone just because he’s a Muslim and looks creepy.

I do believe we have our fill of domestic terrorists that are killing Abortion Doctors and anyone that disagrees with their loony ideals.

I think that the people of the world must take heed to this.  Our earth is slowly losing because we aren’t being good stewards of our environment.  This article gives us some alarming information.  It won’t happen in my lifetime but it might in my Grandchildren’s lifetime.

Our right wing crazies just can’t understand, or don’t want to understand because it is something that may involve their pocketbooks.

Folks, I believe we are at a crossroad and need to act quickly.  There is already a poll out showing that 60% of voters will vote in 2010 for someone who will work to better the environment.

Biden Defends Stimulus, But Better Economy Isn’t Helping Obama

Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner, President Barack Obama, Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke

After reading the article I thought, why don’t people read. Because if they were interested in current affairs they would know that things are starting to work for the country. TARP is a huge success and now the Stimulus is working.

But unfortunately people only know that unemployment is bad, so they are very unhappy. Sad, but for years I’ve watched how uninformed our people in the US really are.

Perfect example is the war in Iraq. The average person didn’t research to make sure that this country was in a war because of 9/11, many of them, if you ask them think Saddam Hussein was the reason for 9/11. They just took the word of the Bush admin. Didn’t read newspapers, magazines, or even watch cable news. I remember when it was disproved that Hussein had not been the cause of 9/11 people didn’t even realize that. How do I know? Because I have a big mouth and I always engage strangers about issues if the moment arises. And I’m stunned at how ignorant people are.

So I am truly hoping that maybe, just maybe, they will start listening.

I’m really impressed with the POTUS and this action.  I believe it is truly a first.  When you think about the fact that these men and women are over there fighting for our country, this to me is a great way to hold your hand out to them.

After A Year of Sarah Palin, Alaska Wonders, “What the Hell Were We Thinking?”

Posted by Betham37
This was also posted at The Mudflats.  I felt it was really a very good article about how she duped everyone.  All she is, is a pretty face with nothing between the ears, in my opinion.  Regardless of what Taylor thinks, I believe that she’s digging a grave for herself.

She’s going to Asia to talk to an investors group.  Oh my, too bad MSM isn’t allowed in there to hear that speech.  But, I’m sure it will leak out.
