Glenn Beck: I'm A Crybaby

Posted by Audiegrl

AP–Glenn Beck returns to Fox News Channel on Monday after a vacation with fewer companies willing to advertise on his show than when he left, part of the fallout from calling President Barack Obama a racist.

A total of 33 Fox advertisers, including Wal-Mart Stores Inc., CVS Caremark, Clorox and Sprint, directed that their commercials not air on Beck’s show, according to the companies and ColorofChange.org, a group that promotes political action among blacks and launched a campaign to get advertisers to abandon him. That’s more than a dozen more than were identified a week ago.

Please feel free to join the Color of Change campaign to Stop the Race Baiting.

More of the full story, here.

Also, note to all the male enhancement companies…I know where you can get some really cheap advertising spots during prime time… 😉

****Update
Rich Hallabran, spokesman for UPS Stores, said today he has not only temporarily halted buying ads on the Glenn Beck Show but also on the Fox News Channel altogether as reported by AP Television writer David Bauder. Feel free to send UPS a note of thanks right here.

I think this campaign is really working. They started out by contacting 60 advertisers and to date 33 of them have dropped out. I think some people tend to forget that the whole reason for shows…whether they are political shows or just entertainment shows.. .is to sell advertisements. Without the ads, no show will survive. Its always about business. Which is why they call it ‘show business’ and not ‘show hobby’. I do my hobbies for free. 😉

Some of the righties are saying they are going to counter boycott. Good luck with that. I don’t believe for one minute that they are going to boycott Wal-mart. 😉

Mr. Beck should go after a strong sedative manufacturer as as sponsor. He obviously needs to take one.
